Firewall Rules
Customer Success creates an initial set of firewall rules for you. These rules ensure consistent security by controlling who has access to your site.
To view your firewall rules, in the Site Management menu, expand Security and click Yottaa Firewall.
The following types of rules are available:
| Whitelist Rules |
Allows specific visitors to access your site by specifying individual IP addresses or CIDR blocks. |
| Block Rules |
Blocks specific visitors from accessing your site by specifying individual IP addresses or CIDR blocks. |
| Throttle Rules |
Controls the rate at which visitors can access your site to avoid service interruptions or errors. |
| Threat Signature | Applies an OWASP ruleset for security issues such as SQL Injection, XSS, and protocol violations. Available for customers who have purchased Advanced WAF. |
After you receive your initial set of rules, you can add to them or ask Customer Success to do so.
To create a new firewall rule:

Select the tab for the type of rule you would like to add and click New.
- Give the rule a name and set the options.
- Click Save.
